This is kind of cruel as a prize... D: I mean it should be a basic right, not a privilege (or at least depend on something like good behaviour).

Great poses here (and lately, in general)!

I feel like the prize is fake, cause it would reveal the fact that he isn't dead. Just saying.

I find myself wondering how much of this was inspired by your actual experiences in a mental health facility because it seems like your experiences were far more dire than mine. I know facilities vary (and of course this is a dramatization, not biographical), but the suggested depersonalization and isolation seems cruel.

That said, I checked myself in voluntarily and 72 hours of rest and peace away from a full load of AP classes and constant homework, unforgiving extra-curriculars, peers, and my family's toxicity - it was a huge relief. Only thing I missed was webcomics. My experience may not have been typical, or maybe anything was better than real life. I did have access to the phone at the facility, and was allowed visitors.

@Deimos: i'm glad to hear that your stay was restful, as it's supposed to be, and i hope that you're in a better situation now.

my stay, and what i witnessed of a lot of my fellow patients, was not great, and in talking with a lot of people, you're lucky if you land in a genuinely nice facility. i don't really talk about the details because i don't want to dump a heavy load onto strangers lmao. so i let it speak through the comic instead. and you're right, the comic is a dramatization, so some of the cruelty is cranked up, but at the same time... the amount of it that has a stable base on reality is Worrisome.
